About the role

As an Account Specialist I at tastytrade, you will deliver seamless account opening experiences, provide superior customer support, and maintain accurate account records. This entry‑level position builds expertise in account processing, regulatory compliance, and service excellence, preparing you for advancement to Account Specialist II.

Key responsibilities

• Process new individual, joint, IRA, and basic entity account applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Verify customer documentation for identity verification and CIP compliance, flagging discrepancies.
• Handle routine account maintenance requests such as address changes, phone updates, and beneficiary designations.
• Perform ongoing customer due diligence in line with AML regulations and support basic suitability reviews.
• Provide friendly support via chat, email, and phone, guiding customers through application steps and resolving holds.
• Document all interactions in Salesforce and contribute suggestions for policy improvements.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented individual early in a brokerage operations career.
• Willingness to obtain FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses.
• Strong interest in building a foundation in account services and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce for documenting customer interactions.
