Account Manager – Employee Benefits

About the role

The Account Manager – Employee Benefits will oversee a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring high‑quality service and seamless benefits administration. Working remotely within the Eastern or Central time zones, you will collaborate closely with producers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, meeting performance targets and preventing liability.
• Lead account coordinators, assign tasks, monitor execution, and provide corrective guidance.
• Oversee new client onboarding, including data collection, file creation, carrier rate negotiations, compliance audits, and employee education.
• Handle renewal cycles by verifying client data, updating files, coordinating with carriers, and conducting training sessions.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow the business.
• Maintain transparent communication with producers, clients, and carriers, advocating for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Support professional development of the account team and promote a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Experience with Level‑Funded and Self‑Funded benefits plans.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
