Account Development Specialist

About the role

The Account Development Specialist is the sales lead for an assigned portfolio within a targeted account base, responsible for increasing share and velocity of designated beverage categories through brand activations and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and market share of the assigned portfolio, spending 80% of working time in market.
• Serve as the expert consultant for beverage and marketing strategies, presenting new products and conducting monthly business reviews.
• Plan and execute high‑end consumer activations and merchandising initiatives to elevate category awareness.
• Collaborate with on‑premise and retail sales teams to develop creative solutions and training modules.
• Gather and report market intelligence, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with brand and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of sales or industry experience with category expertise.
• Relevant certifications such as CSS, WSET Spirits Level 2, or other beverage‑specific credentials.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Proficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office and presentation software.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced, high‑volume team.
