Systems Business Segment Director – Propulsion Systems

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense Group is seeking a senior leader to head the Systems Business Segment within the Propulsion Systems Business Unit. The director will define and execute the segment’s growth strategy, overseeing sales, product line direction, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Set, communicate and drive the strategic plan for the Systems Business Segment.
• Manage the segment’s P&L, balance sheet and targets for bookings, sales and profit.
• Oversee day‑to‑day execution of complex development and production programs for multiple customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead customer‑escalation processes and improve metrics such as on‑time delivery and product quality.
• Contribute to Propulsion Business Unit leadership meetings, capital planning and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years of experience managing business functions in a diverse environment.
• Proven P&L leadership, budgeting, forecasting, pricing and commercial negotiation experience.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
