Accessory Designer – Junior Market (NYC)

About the role

We are a fast‑moving fashion company focused on the junior market, looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Accessory Designer to join our New York office. You will shape the look of headwear, neckwear, cold‑weather accessories and belts, translating trends into commercial products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct seasonal trend, colour and material research tailored to junior customers.
• Design and develop on‑trend accessories from concept through production.
• Create detailed sketches, CADs and tech packs/spec sheets.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories to ensure design intent and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with production, sourcing and cross‑functional teams to meet timelines and cost targets.
• Develop prints, graphics and surface embellishments where applicable.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and consumer insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of accessory design experience, preferably multi‑category and junior market.
• Proven experience working directly with overseas factories.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with eagerness to learn.
