Access Coordinator III – Patient Scheduling & Billing

About the role

The Access Coordinator III serves as a patient resource for scheduling, billing, and data collection across multiple clinics, including cardiovascular, internal medicine, and primary care. This role supports patient care activities and ensures accurate billing and appointment coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments using hospital systems.
• Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and payments for patient accounts.
• Conduct pre‑registration, input and update accurate patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits to patients.
• Request and file outside medical records as needed.
• Assist the public, answer phones professionally, and resolve conflicts with effective listening and negotiation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years of customer service experience in registration, billing, or scheduling within a healthcare environment.
• Strong communication, telephone etiquette, and proficiency with office equipment.
