Access Coordinator II - Neurosciences

About the role

The Access Coordinator II supports the Neurosciences department at UAMS by managing patient access processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating smooth communication between clinical teams and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and authorizations for neuroscience services.
• Maintain and update access records in the Workday system.
• Collaborate with clinicians, insurance representatives, and administrative staff to resolve access issues.
• Prepare reports on access metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Provide guidance to students and graduate assistants on access procedures.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee or student with eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
