About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Academic Visitor to join its Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. This short‑term, onsite position provides undergraduate students with hands‑on research experience in a collaborative health‑care environment. The role supports the university’s mission to improve patient care through interdisciplinary research and education.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the SURF program during the summer term.
- Engage in research activities under the supervision of faculty mentors.
- Collaborate with other students and staff to contribute to ongoing projects.
- Maintain compliance with university safety and vaccination policies.
Required profile
- Accepted by faculty to take part in the SURF program.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or hold an approved medical or religious exemption.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
