About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a volunteer Academic Assistant Professor to join its Department of Internal Medicine – Cardiology. This position supports UAMS’s mission of education, research, and patient care while fostering diversity and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver academic instruction and mentorship to medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Collaborate with faculty on clinical and research initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies, including vaccination requirements.
Required profile
- Approved appointment action for a volunteer faculty role.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of appointment.
- Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
- Relevant academic and clinical qualifications in internal medicine or cardiology.
