Academic Advisor for Undergraduate Pathway Programs

About the role

The Academic Advisor supports undergraduate students in pathway programs across Northeastern’s global campuses, helping them plan their academic journey and succeed in their studies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general academic advising and retention support in partnership with Boston and global campus advising units.
• Identify at‑risk students using early‑alert systems, conduct outreach, and refer to campus resources.
• Assist students with schedule planning, registration, add/drop, withdrawals, and major declaration.
• Teach sections of the Introduction to College course and develop course modules.
• Collaborate with campus offices such as the Registrar, Global Services, and WeCare, and support admissions and recruitment activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of academic advising processes and educational requirements.
• Proficiency with common software applications and strong organizational abilities.
