Workforce Education Instructor – High School Practical Nursing (12‑month)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a dedicated Workforce Education Instructor to lead its High School Practical Nursing pathway. This 12‑month, non‑tenure faculty position involves delivering undergraduate nursing courses, supervising clinical experiences, and supporting student success in a dynamic, hands‑on learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of health‑related undergraduate and nursing technical courses, including classroom and lab instruction.
• Supervise and coordinate clinical rotations, internships, and practicum assignments.
• Develop and deliver online course content or acquire necessary online teaching competencies.
• Advise, register, and mentor students, maintaining accurate program and student records.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, recruitment activities, and professional development.
• Engage with healthcare industry partners to create placement and networking opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including evening or summer teaching as needed.

Required profile

• Active, non‑encumbered Arkansas Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum three years of hospital nursing experience.
• Teaching experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
