Warehouse Operator III – Night Shift (Fri‑Sun & alternate Thu)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Warehouse Operator III to support its manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. This night‑shift position works Friday through Sunday from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST, with an additional shift every other Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials.
• Prepare and pack items for outbound shipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and transportation methods.
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, RF scanners, and computer systems to maintain accurate inventory data.
• Optimize storage space and material flow while adhering to GxP regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness using 6S practices and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Mentor team members, lead specific lines when needed, and assist in training new employees.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication in English.
• Ability to lift 25‑30 lb regularly, stand for long periods, and work at heights up to 25 ft.
• Willingness to work the specified night‑shift schedule and up to 10% travel.
• No relocation assistance or sponsorship provided.
