Visiting Resident – Clinical Rotation (Contingent)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking qualified graduate medical education (GME) residents to join our clinical teams on a visiting rotation basis. This contingent position provides hands‑on patient care experience within UAMS or Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) while supporting our mission of collaborative, high‑quality healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in supervised clinical rotations across selected specialties at UAMS or ACH.
• Deliver patient care in accordance with ACGME standards and institutional protocols.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document patient encounters and contribute to case discussions.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in an ACGME‑accredited residency program.
• Eligibility for Arkansas State Medical Board licensure exemption (physicians in ACGME programs).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption on file with Student & Employee Health Services.
