Vice President of Institutional Capital

About the role

The Vice President of Institutional Capital leads the firm’s capital‑formation activities, focusing on sourcing, structuring, and managing institutional capital across multiple investment vehicles. This senior position works closely with investment, product, legal, finance, and operations teams to align capital solutions with institutional investor mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and qualify institutional investors such as pensions, insurers, endowments, foundations, family offices, and OCIOs.
• Own the end‑to‑end capital‑raising process, including relationship building, roadshows, RFP/RFI responses, due diligence, and closing commitments.
• Partner with internal teams to design fund structures, SMAs, and co‑investments that meet governance and ESG requirements.
• Maintain a capital‑raising pipeline, territory plan, and relationship roadmap with consultants and intermediaries.
• Act as the internal voice of institutional investors, translating feedback into product, reporting, and governance enhancements.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate capital accounting, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years of experience in institutional capital raising, investor relations, institutional sales, or private‑markets product roles.
• Proven track record of building and managing relationships with large institutional allocators and consultants.
• Deep understanding of institutional decision‑making, governance, risk frameworks, and ESG/reporting expectations.
• Executive presence with strong negotiation and storytelling abilities.
