Vice President of Finance

About the role

Essentia, Inc. is expanding its finance and accounting function to support rapid growth in the telecommunications infrastructure market. The Vice President of Finance will lead operational and project accounting across the company and its related entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end accounting and close processes for all customer projects, including revenue and cost accruals.
• Manage operational accounting functions such as customer billing, collections, purchasing, procurement, and vendor payments.
• Handle operating cash management, forecasting, and monitoring of collections and payments.
• Prepare monthly project and business‑unit financial results and present business reviews to senior leadership.
• Maintain the financial control environment for project accounting, including detailed reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to develop and revise policies, procedures, and process documentation.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting, analysis, and administrative support such as state tax and licensing compliance.
• Interface heavily with the Project Management Office and work with Finance, IT, Operations, and HR to automate and optimize financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current CPA license or equivalent.
• 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in telecom or construction, with progressive responsibility.
• Experience in public accounting (Big 4) is a plus.
