Utility Operator

Key responsibilities

• Operate brewery utility systems including steam, CO₂ collection, ammonia and glycol refrigeration, dehumidification, compressed air, and water.
• Participate in the HAZWOPER emergency response team, wearing respirator and OSHA Level A PPE as required.
• Perform chemical treatment for boiler, cooling‑tower and pasteurizer water.
• Execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to increase equipment reliability and uptime.
• Analyze process data and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives (PDCA, 5 Why, Lean Six Sigma).

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with steam boilers or refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with automated process control systems and ability to read P&ID drawings.
• Ability to perform mechanical tasks such as valve, belt, motor/gearbox maintenance.

Required skills

• Steam boiler operation and water‑tube medium pressure boiler knowledge.
• Industrial ammonia refrigeration and glycol refrigeration systems.
• Compressed air, cooling‑tower, and CO₂ collection and liquefaction systems.
• HAZWOPER emergency response, respirator and OSHA Level A PPE.
• Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques.
• Microsoft Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management System proficiency.
