Underwriting Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

Join Zurich’s Underwriting organization for a summer 2027 internship in Los Angeles. You will work alongside experienced underwriters, gain hands‑on experience, and contribute to projects that support business growth and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands‑on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.
• Help manage pipeline and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.

Required profile

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Enrolled for at least two years of college coursework (rising junior or senior) and will be enrolled in Fall 2027.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
