HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join a 13‑week travel assignment in Palestine, Texas. This full‑time, 36‑hour per week position offers a competitive weekly rate of $2,074 and provides the opportunity to deliver acute‑care medical‑surgical services in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, and IV medications, documenting all actions and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Provide bedside care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients, including wound dressing, catheter insertion, and IV therapy.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, post‑treatment care, and self‑management strategies.
• Monitor and operate specialized equipment, record vital signs, and ensure accurate electronic health record documentation.
• Participate in discharge planning and respond to emergent situations according to nursing protocols.

Required profile

• Active Texas RN license or multi‑state compact license.
• Minimum two years recent Med‑Surg experience in an acute‑care hospital.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts for the duration of the assignment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Competence in IV therapy, catheter insertion, and wound care.
• Strong medication administration and documentation skills.
• BLS certification.
