About the role

The Direct‑to‑Patient Dispatcher, also referred to as Transport Coordinator, ensures the efficient delivery of medical products directly to patients’ homes. Working within UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics, you will coordinate routing, oversee real‑time shipment tracking, and maintain clear communication between drivers, healthcare providers, and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adjust daily delivery routes using routing software and GPS systems to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
• Monitor traffic, weather, and service disruptions, proactively rerouting drivers as needed.
• Coordinate transportation of medical supplies, ensuring compliance with healthcare and transportation regulations.
• Assign deliveries to drivers based on location, priority, and capacity, and track shipments in real time.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, route schedules, delivery confirmations, and generate performance reports.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, drivers, healthcare providers, and customer service teams to schedule urgent or same‑day deliveries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, communicating updates, delays, and providing problem‑solving support.
