About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a TLP Repayment Associate to support the US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) Travel Loan Program. Based in Washington, D.C., the role involves managing loan repayment communications with migrants holding TLP accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Contact TLP participants regarding outstanding debts or fully paid loans.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and repayment status.
- Collaborate with the Senior TLP Associate and Head of USRAP TLP for guidance and oversight.
Required profile
- University degree with at least three years of relevant experience, or high‑school diploma with at least five years of experience.
- Experience in office management, accounting, bookkeeping, billing or collections.
- Familiarity with the USRAP Travel Loan Program is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is highly beneficial.
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and Burmese.
- Strong verbal communication, persuasive ability, and resilience under pressure.
