Terminal Manager – Service Center Operations

About the role

R+L Carriers is looking for a Terminal Manager to lead the Norristown, PA service center. The role involves planning, organizing, managing and directing all daily operations to ensure efficient freight handling and customer satisfaction. This full‑time position offers a structured work week with a vacation benefit after 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial performance of the service center, including revenue, cost control and yield improvement.
• Oversee hiring, promotions, transfers, terminations and disciplinary actions.
• Lead, educate and develop employees while supporting account managers in customer acquisition and retention.
• Develop and execute action plans to meet productivity and service targets.
• Ensure safety, security and loss‑prevention compliance with Company, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and submit required financial and operational reports.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational, logistical and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of LTL industry practices, DOT, OSHA and hazardous materials regulations (preferred).
• Familiarity with the Norristown area and surrounding communities.
