Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our finance team within a leading manufacturing company. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Conduct detailed tax research and planning to minimize liabilities.
• Develop and implement internal control systems for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the finance team on financial statements and reports.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations (ASC 740).
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and ensure company compliance.
• Provide guidance to the finance team on tax-related matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of tax accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software.
• Knowledge of sales tax, use tax, property tax, and multi‑state tax.
• Understanding of ASC 740 tax provision calculations.
