About the role
The Project Systems Engineer will collaborate with OTECH personnel and the client to guide engineering efforts that meet client requirements. You will develop systems engineering documentation, including concepts of operations, requirements specifications, interface control documents, hazard analyses, and test plans, ensuring seamless technology integration.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and high‑level system architectures to produce system requirements specifications.
- Guide system development and implementation planning using traditional documents and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, including requirement, structure, and behavior diagrams.
- Perform hazard analysis, develop test plans and procedures, and ensure traceability across system elements.
- Provide technical judgment, devise innovative solutions, and review progress of self and team work.
- Prepare reports and present results to management and the client; occasional travel may be required.
- Participate in Systems Engineering Division meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- BS degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering; Master’s degree in Systems Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of practical Systems Engineering experience, including development of system engineering plans, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.
- Experience with DoDAF, Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA), and SysML.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Required skills
- Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
- SysML modeling (Cameo).
- Requirements management tools such as CRADLE or DOORS.
- Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Working in ISO‑9000‑rated environments.
