Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT department at our New York office. The role involves providing high‑priority technical assistance to executives and VIP users, managing server and network infrastructure, and supporting conference‑room A/V systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, especially for executive/VIP users.
• Manage and maintain server and network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, storage, and wireless devices.
• Support conference‑room A/V equipment and coordinate with senior administrators and external vendors.
• Monitor system performance, configure and deploy new software and hardware.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Required profile

• Work experience as a Systems Administrator at a small or midsize firm.
• Ability to perform advanced end‑user support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environments.
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls, switches, storage systems, wireless networking, VMWare, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and SharePoint.
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, or EDR solutions.
• Ability to use automation tools and scripting, particularly PowerShell.
• Knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills; conference‑room A/V support experience is a plus.
