About the role
The Systems Administrator provides technical system administration and operations, maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to ensure proper configuration, availability, performance, capacity, and up‑to‑date patches. The position is embedded in a small, agile team delivering on‑site support for system, network, and information assurance needs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, collaborate on, and implement technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Provide data‑center support including racking, cabling, and hardware installation.
- Resolve network problems in cooperation with senior network engineers and escalate when needed.
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory – user/group management, OU structure, GPOs, and monitor domain controllers.
- Plan, configure, and deploy Windows Server, Desktop, and Laptop environments with patch management and security baselines.
- Install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and manage virtual machines (provisioning, cloning, vMotion).
- Configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, VLANs, ACLs, and 802.1X authentication.
- Manage NetApp storage arrays, configure NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and implement SnapMirror replication.
- Lead assignments for specific functions and mentor entry‑level contributors.
Required profile
- 2‑6 years of relevant IT experience with an Associate’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TS clearance with polygraph.
- Basic cybersecurity knowledge and ability to work independently on technical network activities.
- Willingness to maintain required IT/Security certifications throughout employment.
Required skills

- Network troubleshooting tools and documentation practices.
