About the role

The System Vice Chair of Operations for the Women’s Service Line leads operational strategy and execution across Ochsner Health. This senior leadership position focuses on enhancing patient care, improving service line performance, and driving quality initiatives in obstetrics and gynecology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and direction aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee clinical operations, ensuring high standards of obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery, patient access, and satisfaction.
• Collaborate on resource allocation, including staff, budget, facilities, and equipment.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, compliance, and national ranking enhancement.
• Foster collaboration with clinical leaders, administrative staff, and system stakeholders.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Champion patient‑centered care to improve access, experience, and satisfaction.
• Support staff development through mentorship and growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, focusing on women’s health services.
• Demonstrated empathy, adaptability, strong analytical abilities, and an approachable, collaborative leadership style.
