System Administrator (TS/SCI with Polygraph)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a versatile System Administrator to tackle new challenges across the full stack as the company pushes security forward. The role involves maintaining operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, desktops, software, and hardware while optimizing networks for mission‑critical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assess system architecture and identify hardware limitations.
• Administer Linux systems and Windows servers, including applications and processes.
• Design and implement system specifications for hardware/software compatibility.
• Analyze system logs to detect and resolve potential issues.
• Install government‑provided software patches, updates, and configure new platforms.
• Perform security management and application performance optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field preferred (or 4 years relevant experience) with a Master’s and 3 + years acceptable.
• 5 + years experience as a System Administrator.
• Active Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance.

Required skills

• VMware administration.
• Linux system administration.
• Windows Server administration.
• DoD 8570 IAT II compliance (Security+ preferred).
• Hardware maintenance and system‑log analysis.
