Supply Technician (Medical Ancillary Support)

About the role

The Supply Technician provides essential support to the Hospital Central Supply team, ensuring that medical and clinical supplies are available, organized, and distributed efficiently to staff and patients. This position is part of the Finance SC department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming medical supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using Workday and other tracking systems.
• Process supply requisitions and distribute items to clinical units promptly.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection‑control standards.
• Assist with preparation of reports on usage, shortages, and cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in supply chain or healthcare logistics is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move supplies as needed.
