Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures that all products and materials sourced from suppliers meet Saronic's rigorous quality standards and specifications. This role partners closely with internal teams and external suppliers to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and monitor performance metrics.
• Conduct regular supplier audits, assessments and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering and manufacturing teams to align specifications and resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO/TS 16949, APQP and PPAP.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, perform root‑cause analysis and manage CAPA.

Required skills

• ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans.
• Root‑cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, 8D).
• Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen methodologies.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Quality certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred.
