Summer Visiting Student Internship – Orthopaedic Therapy

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a motivated high‑school or college student to join the TOSH and Rodney Parham Therapy & Sports Performance clinics for a summer visiting student internship. This short‑term position provides hands‑on exposure to orthopaedic and physical therapy operations under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist therapy technicians with patient care activities and clinic workflow.
• Observe and learn orthopaedic assessment and treatment techniques.
• Support documentation and data entry as directed by supervising clinicians.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with clinic policies.

Required profile

• Rising high‑school or college student interested in orthopaedic or therapy careers.
• Ability to obtain proof of legal work authorization in the United States.
• Compliance with UAMS Covid‑19 vaccination policy or approved exemption.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of human anatomy and musculoskeletal concepts (preferred).
