Summer Research Intern

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Summer Research Intern to join a physiology and cell biology laboratory. Under direct supervision, you will contribute to ongoing research projects while gaining hands‑on experience in a biomedical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine biochemical and molecular assays.
• Maintain cell cultures and conduct basic cell‑based experiments.
• Assist with animal experiments after completing required training.
• Document protocols, record data, and prepare reports for the principal investigator.
• Support additional laboratory techniques as needed for the project.

Required profile

• Fundamental knowledge of cell biology and molecular biology.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Compliance with university vaccination policies or approved exemptions.
