Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering Internship

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering internship in California, with placements across several engineering teams. Interns apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced industry setting, work on real projects, network with leaders and experience documenting and presenting complex processes clearly.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced Quality: work on new product engineering projects such as human factors engineering, risk management, statistics, reliability engineering, design verification and validation.
• Process Quality: support product sustainment, run root cause analysis and corrective actions, and use tools such as CAD, LabView and validation activities.
• Supplier Quality: work with suppliers to ensure components and manufacturing processes meet standards, using technical and business skills.
• Quality: work with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure high-quality products, and handle post-market complaints and design changes with regulators.
• New Product Development: research technologies, customer needs and regulations, and use CAD, FEA and test labs to develop new product concepts.
• Product Engineering: improve existing products based on customer feedback and performance data, using CAD, FEA and root cause analysis.
• Test Lab: test early prototypes and fixtures, and carry out design verification.
• Manufacturing: work with Design and Operations to improve manufacturing lines, fixtures, assembly processes, lean principles and ergonomics.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, staying enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage
