Summer 2027 Quality Engineering Internship

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 Quality Engineering internship in California, with onsite work flexibility. Interns contribute to real projects, gain exposure to mentors and learn how to document complex processes clearly. The program targets students in mechanical, biomedical, electrical or computer engineering or related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced Quality: work on engineering projects for new products, such as human factors engineering, risk management, statistics, reliability engineering, design verification and validation, including customer interaction.
• Process Quality: join cross-functional teams to investigate non-conforming production issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions, using tools such as CAD for fixture design, LabView and validation activities.
• Supplier Quality: work with suppliers to ensure components and manufacturing processes meet required standards, coordinating with internal customers across functions.
• Quality: work with internal teams and the sales team to ensure products meet customer needs, and handle post-market complaints and design changes with regulators.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, remaining enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Required skills

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage
