Staff Technical Program Manager, OTA

About the role

The Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Over‑The‑Air (OTA) updates will lead coordination across a globally distributed team that delivers firmware, cloud, and connectivity solutions for electric vehicles. This senior TPM ensures the OTA organization executes its technical vision, aligns cross‑functional stakeholders, and drives timely releases of fixes and new features.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to translate the OTA technical roadmap into actionable plans.
• Run tactical development processes including grooming, story pointing, and sprint planning.
• Facilitate strategic program and quarterly planning, breaking down initiatives into tactical tasks.
• Clarify work scope, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments with OTA team leads.
• Coordinate with external TPMs to anticipate changes and budget for required support.
• Enforce development norms and agile processes across engineering teams.
• Design and maintain tracking systems for OTA projects across multiple domains.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience and 6+ years of technical or engineering program management experience.
• Proven ability to lead without direct authority and drive outcomes in complex, distributed environments.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Atlassian tools, especially Jira and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of APIs and integration with Atlassian platforms.
• Deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle from story creation to validation.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and sprint execution.
