Staff Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Under supervision, you will provide professional nursing care to critically ill newborns, supporting their recovery and development in a high‑acuity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor physical and psycho‑social signs and symptoms of NICU patients.
• Implement therapeutic measures, including ventilator support, infusion therapy, and neonatal resuscitation, as ordered.
• Develop, document, and continuously evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Teach and guide allied nursing personnel, delegating appropriate tasks.
• Participate in departmental conferences and contribute to nursing practice standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in New York State.
• Experience or strong interest in neonatal intensive care.
• Ability to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in NICU patient assessment and monitoring.
• Knowledge of ventilator management, infusion therapy, and neonatal resuscitation protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
