Staff Field Reliability Engineer

About the role

ALSO is an electric‑mobility company building vertically integrated small EVs. We are looking for a Staff Field Reliability Engineer to monitor and improve the reliability of our vehicles in the field, ensuring a superior customer experience across multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor field performance, identify failure trends, and conduct life‑data (Weibull) analysis to drive reliability growth.
• Validate real‑world usage against rider profiles, develop damage metrics, and refine test plans.
• Collaborate with Service teams to create a shared service platform and database for complaints and part replacements.
• Establish a Material Review Board (MRB) process, perform failure analysis on returned parts, and implement corrective actions.
• Define and maintain the ongoing reliability testing (ORT) plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in reliability engineering.
• Strong knowledge of reliability statistics, life‑data analysis, and reliability growth.
• Experience with structured problem‑solving methods (FRACA, 8D) and root‑cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree, FMEA).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Statistical software such as JMP, ReliaSoft suite, or MATLAB.
• Failure‑analysis techniques: SEM, CT, X‑ray, EDS, TDR.
• Reliability analysis methods: Weibull analysis, reliability statistics.
• Problem‑solving frameworks: FRACA, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree, FMEA.
