Staff Cross Domain Solution Engineer

About the role

Shield AI is a venture‑backed defense‑tech company dedicated to protecting service members and civilians with intelligent systems. The company develops autonomy software, aircraft, and simulation technologies used worldwide. This role leads the design, integration, deployment, and sustainment of secure cross‑domain solutions for mission‑critical data sharing across classified networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and implementation of Cross Domain Solutions that enable secure information transfer between classified networks and enclaves.
• Design and evaluate high‑assurance architectures, including guards, filtering mechanisms, auditing, and policy enforcement.
• Partner with ISSM, ISSO, network engineering, and operations teams to support system authorization, risk management, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and review technical documentation such as system designs, interface control documents, security artifacts, test plans, and operational runbooks.
• Troubleshoot complex cross‑domain, network, system, and security issues, providing root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combinations of education and experience).
• Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Willingness to work onsite in Dallas, Texas (or Washington, DC).
• Security+ certification or ability to obtain it within the first three months.
