Sr. Director of Organic Growth & AI Discovery

About the role

Centerfield is seeking a senior leader to scale its AI Discovery business and drive organic growth across its digital brands. The role combines deep search expertise with commercial acumen to turn audience reach and emerging AI‑search opportunities into revenue‑generating strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for AI search and traditional SEO visibility, rankings, and impact.
• Lead the Organic Growth and Web Publishing team, collaborating with Content, Sales, Product, Engineering, and AI & Automation groups.
• Develop AI‑based tools and best‑practice frameworks for on‑page and off‑page optimization.
• Own reporting, vendor management, and measurement of organic performance, AI visibility, and business outcomes.
• Shape technical road‑maps with engineering on crawlability, indexation, structured data, and site architecture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in organic growth for content publishers, affiliate or lead‑generation businesses, with a proven record of translating SEO results into revenue.
• Commercial ownership experience building or scaling a revenue‑generating product or service.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams, set priorities, and drive execution in ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio.
• Crawl and analysis tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush.
• AI‑visibility platforms (e.g., AIO, LLM‑based answer engines).
• Content management systems, especially WordPress, and implementation of structured data.
• Technical knowledge of crawl, indexation, internal linking, and site templates.
