About the role
The Department of Psychology and Communication at Texas A&M International University is creating a pool of qualified candidates for part‑time Spring 2027 adjunct faculty appointments in Communications. The position is fully online and will support student learning through teaching, office hours, and mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Teach up to six semester credit hours online, based on student demand.
- Hold virtual office hours to support student learning.
- Assist students with course material and assignments as needed.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Communication (required).
- Doctorate in Communication (preferred).
- Previous collegiate teaching experience, especially online.
- Relevant professional experience in the communication field.
Required skills
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Professional interaction with the public.
- Planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
