Solutions Architect

About the role

Vizient is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its Platform Engineering organization. In this senior position you will design and deliver scalable, secure, and reusable solutions that support enterprise platforms, applications, and data services. You will collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, CloudOps, Security, and IT teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise strategy and modern cloud‑native, AI‑enabled patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end platform components, reference architectures, and solutions spanning applications, APIs, integrations, data platforms, identity, AI, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop proofs of concept, automation scripts, tools, and reference implementations across data, security, AI, and integration use cases.
• Lead architecture and design sessions with engineering teams and product stakeholders.
• Simplify complex concepts, build analogies, and secure stakeholder buy‑in while aligning with the platform vision.
• Own designs from functional, non‑functional, operational, risk, and economic perspectives.
• Communicate effectively at executive level and mentor technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in software architecture or systems design.
• Hands‑on development experience across all tiers and recent work on AI‑enabled solutions.
• Strong diagramming, presentation, and technical communication abilities.
