Software Test Engineer – 5G/4G Mobile Carrier Certification

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Software Test Engineer with Chinese bilingual capability to oversee mobile software quality assurance and carrier certification testing for major North American operators. The role acts as a technical bridge between onsite U.S. testing activities and the client’s global R&D teams in Asia, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance of next‑generation mobile devices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive 5G/4G protocol, Lab IOT, and live network field testing based on North American carrier prerequisite test cases.
• Log, track, and manage software defects end‑to‑end, escalating critical bugs and project risks as needed.
• Cooperate with client engineering compliance checks, execute regression testing, and conduct root‑cause analyses on missed tests.
• Facilitate direct technical communication with R&D teams in Asia, leveraging Mandarin proficiency.
• Accept night‑time overtime or flexible hours to align with Asia‑based R&D centers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on software testing experience for mobile communication terminal products.
• Strong familiarity with certification processes of major North American operators (T‑Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Dish).
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to communicate technical details effectively.
• High stress tolerance, proactive risk prediction, and strong sense of responsibility.
