Software Quality Control Engineer

About the role

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Corporation company, seeks an experienced Software Quality Control Engineer to own software quality across its delivery pipeline. You will embed automated testing and release validation directly into CI/CD processes, ensuring reliable deployments in containerized environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test coverage integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions, including quality gates and release validation.
• Deploy, validate, and troubleshoot workloads on Kubernetes clusters.
• Write and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation and application deployment.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across environments.
• Lead defect tracking, root‑cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 8 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, DevOps, or platform engineering.

Required skills

• Kubernetes (cluster setup, workload deployment, networking).
• Ansible (playbooks and roles).
• GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions.
• Docker containerization.
• Python and Bash scripting.
• Test automation frameworks such as pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework.
• Performance and load testing tools.
• Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence).
