Software Engineer - Wallets

About the role

Rain is building the next generation of wallet infrastructure for stablecoin payments. As a Software Engineer on the Wallets team, you will design and own secure, scalable systems that power custodial and non‑custodial wallets used by enterprises, neobanks, and developers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect Rain’s wallet infrastructure, covering custody, key management, transaction signing, authorization, and recovery.
• Design flexible signing pipelines that support MPC, HSMs, secure enclaves, TEEs, and emerging cryptographic methods.
• Build and evolve wallet systems across multiple account models, including EOAs, smart‑contract wallets, account abstraction (ERC‑4337), embedded wallets, and multichain support.
• Define the interaction between cryptography and wallet orchestration, setting policies for keys, signing authority, and transaction permissions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security‑critical components meet compliance and performance standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with deep expertise in wallet security, cryptography, and blockchain infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design and ship complex, security‑critical systems at scale.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, hyper‑growth environment and influencing technical direction.
