Software Engineer III – Java Development

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer III to join JPMorgan Chase’s Consumer & Community Banking – Trust and Security team. In this role you will design, develop and maintain secure, high‑quality Java applications that power market‑leading financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and troubleshoot Java‑based microservice solutions using Spring Boot.
• Create production‑grade code, ensure security, stability and scalability of applications.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex systems and enforce design constraints.
• Analyze large data sets to identify patterns, improve code hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities, share knowledge of emerging technologies and promote inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with at least 3 years of hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices such as CI/CD.
• Ability to work in a large corporate environment and collaborate across business functions.
