Software Engineer II – Quality Engineering

About the role

Mastercard’s Digital Enablement Services is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Quality Engineering team. In this role you will help design, develop, automate and execute end‑to‑end quality solutions for tokenization, digital payments and emerging payment technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable software applications, services and APIs.
• Contribute to software architecture decisions that ensure performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Build and enhance microservices and distributed systems supporting Mastercard’s technology ecosystem.
• Develop automated tests, support CI/CD pipelines and apply secure coding practices.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, platform and quality teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.
• Strong programming skills in Java and solid understanding of object‑oriented design.
• Experience with Java, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, REST/SOAP APIs and databases such as Oracle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo), Maven, Git and automated testing frameworks (Rest Assured, JBehave/Cucumber).
