Software Development Engineer – AWS Resource Access Manager

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Identity team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help build the next generation of the AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM). You will design and implement highly available, fault‑tolerant services that enable customers to share resources securely across accounts and organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate distributed, multi‑tenant systems that support large‑scale resource sharing.
• Create intuitive APIs that simplify complex sharing workflows for customers.
• Implement event‑driven architectures and handle eventual‑consistency challenges.
• Build high‑throughput indexing pipelines that can scale to millions of shared resources.
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, alarms, and automated testing.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting reliable, scalable systems.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, source control, testing, and deployment.
• Strong focus on customer experience and API usability.
