Software Developer – AI Solutions (Louvain-la-Neuve/Brussels/Leuven)

About the role

Yuma is looking for a Software Developer to join a collaborative team that builds AI‑driven digital solutions for leading organisations across the Benelux. You will work from one of our offices in Louvain‑la‑Neuve, Brussels or Leuven, contributing to projects that create real value for clients and their users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high‑quality IT solutions using modern open‑source technologies.
• Participate in pair‑programming, code reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Organise daily work, track progress with management tools and report to Project Managers.
• Engage with clients through meetings, presentations and written updates.
• Assist in analysing client needs, shaping requirements and supporting business development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.).
• Strong analytical mindset and curiosity about how systems work.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders while defending technical viewpoints.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least two of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, Angular, React, Ionic, React Native), Python (Django, Flask, Pyramid), Scala.
• Operational knowledge of macOS and/or GNU/Linux.
• Familiarity with standard development tools such as Git and IDEs.
