Social Media & Design Specialist – Communications

About the role

The Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station (AAES) seeks a creative Social Media and Design Specialist to join its Communications team. This full‑time position will craft compelling stories and visual content that showcase AAES research, mission, and impact to diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social‑media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Create, edit, and publish engaging graphics, videos, and visual assets for social media, web pages, and print materials.
• Write, proofread, and edit copy for posts, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with researchers, extension staff, and leadership to translate technical information into audience‑friendly content.
• Monitor analytics, track performance metrics, and adjust content tactics to improve reach and engagement.

Required profile

• Passion for storytelling through digital media.
• Strong writing and editing abilities.
• Experience creating high‑quality graphics for online and print use.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills
