Social Media & Content Manager

About the role

La Lumiere New York is seeking a creative, self‑directed Social Media & Content Manager based in Austin to own and grow its Instagram and TikTok presence. Working closely with the Founder, Director of Operations and Marketing Director, you will develop and execute content that drives brand awareness, engagement and sales for our chic, affordable jewelry.

Key responsibilities

• Create and post 10 Instagram Stories daily showcasing products, behind‑the‑scenes moments, customer content and brand lifestyle.
• Produce 2‑3 Instagram Reels and TikTok videos per week, mixing product‑focused, trend‑driven and lifestyle formats.
• Build reusable story templates and batch‑create recurring content themes.
• Monitor and adapt current Instagram and TikTok trends quickly for brand relevance.
• Respond to DMs and comments daily, engage authentically with user‑generated content and reshare customer posts.
• Maintain a content calendar planned 2‑3 weeks ahead and contribute organic social metrics to the marketing deck bi‑monthly.
• Support influencer and creator collaborations, coordinate product sends and track outreach.

Required profile

• Based in Austin, TX.
• Strong content creation abilities – able to shoot, edit and publish independently.
• Passion for fashion, jewelry and accessories.
• Deep fluency with Instagram and TikTok trends.
• Proactive, organized and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Canva, CapCut or similar photo/video editing tools.
• Scheduling and analytics platforms such as HeyOrca, Later or Planoly.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for content ideation and storyboarding.
