About the role
The Skilled Tradesman – HVAC Maintenance performs mechanical maintenance on heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures reliable operation of campus facilities through inspection, repair, installation and preventive servicing.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, install and alter HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of mechanical systems.
- Diagnose system faults and execute corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate service records and comply with safety regulations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed HVAC trade school training or equivalent education.
- Valid HVAC license or certification as required by state regulations.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant certification.
Required skills
- HVAC system maintenance and repair.
- Refrigeration system knowledge.
- EPA Section 608 certification.
